Mia Khalifa and ex-husband Robert Sandberg announced their separation in July, prompting the Puerto Rican singer to develop a new romance.

Jhay Cortez and Mia Khalifa made their romance official on Friday with pictures on their respective Instagram accounts.

Cortez confirmed the relationship by uploading a photo of himself and Khalifa kissing in an open-roofed vehicle. The artist stated in the caption of his Instagram image, “LA PRESION YA NO SOY YO ES ELLA 👑✨🤍 @MIAKHALIFA,” meaning, “The pressure is not me, it is her.”

Meanwhile, Khalifa likewise posted a carousel of photos on her Instagram account, the first of which was a snapshot of her and Cortez strolling closely to each other with a caption, “Te sigo ❤️🔥 @jhaycortez,” which means “I follow you.”

The divorce from ex-husband Robert Sandberg led to Khalifa’s current relationship. According to LADBible, Khalifa and Sandberg were engaged in 2019 and announced their split in joint Instagram messages in July.

“We can confidently say we gave it our all in making our marriage work,” the former couple said at the time, “but after almost a year of therapy and efforts, we are walking away knowing we have a friend in each other, and that we truly tried.”

“We will always love and respect each other because we know that not one isolated incident caused our split, but rather, a culmination of unresolvable, fundamental differences that no one can blame the other for.”

“We are closing this chapter with no regrets and both starting our own, separately, but connected through incredible family, friends, and love for our dogs,” they continued.

“This has been long overdue, but we’re glad we took our time and give it our all, and can walk away saying we tried our absolute hardest,” the pair concluded.
