As the United States continues to investigate the refugees, it was revealed that it wasn’t just in Afghanistan where child brides were reported but also in America.
Republican Senator and lawyer Ted Cruz blasts U.S. President Joe Biden following reports that Afghan girls subjected to child marriages were accompanied by adult male Afghan refugees in the United States.
In a statement on Friday, Cruz said: “There have been multiple cases of child brides and polygamous families from Afghanistan arriving at military bases here in America as part of their botched evacuation.”
The Senator also expressed his thoughts about the situation and pointed out that Biden, together with his administration and notably the Vice President, Kamala Harris, were at fault for the ill-conceived and abrupt departure from Afghanistan
“These reports are credible and horrifying. President
Biden had no plan for a secure, orderly, and responsible withdrawal from Afghanistan. Instead, the President and Biden-Harris officials imposed arbitrary deadlines for political purposes,” he stated.
According to Ted Cruz, the issue of child brides might cause an “acute human rights crisis” in the United States.

In an attempt to verify these reports, the Associated Press released a story stating that these adults had admitted that the young girls they are with are their wives. Hence, these child brides had been sexually abused.
Also, young girls and women currently in the United Arab Emirates were forced to marry to be evacuated.
“CBS News has learned that ‘several’ Afghan women & girls who were evacuated to facilities in the UAE have told officials that their families forced them into marriage outside of the Kabul airport so that they could be eligible for evacuation.”https://t.co/u5iUjdTXPW

The United States has started digging into the issue both within the U.S. and with U.S. custody in other countries.
Reactions to Infiltration of Child Brides in the U.S.
The best solution is to take those little girls away from those child molesters and deport the child molesters back to Afghanistan. If there are women in the polygamous families, send them back with their husbands and children. But we can't have people who won't abide by our laws
