President Joe Biden, a devout Catholic whose speeches often include biblical references, took a head-spinning turnaround on a position that he held since the dawn of his Senate career.

“I’m prepared as a matter of faith to accept that life begins at the moment of conception,” was then-Senator Biden’s statement in 2008 as he tried to take a middle-of-the-road position between his religious and political beliefs.

After the Texas anti-abortion “heartbeat bill” was signed into law, Biden suddenly reversed his belief to rebuke the judiciary, saying, “I respect those who believe life begins at the moment of conception and all, I respect that. Don’t agree, but I respect that.”

The said anti-abortion law prohibits abortions in Texas six weeks into conception or as soon as the cardiac activity is detectable. It also allows any private citizen to bring a civil lawsuit against abortion providers and anyone else who aids a woman to obtain an abortion.

Biden criticized the Texas Legislature on Thursday for passing the said bill, calling the anti-abortion law “a bizarre scheme” that “unleashes unconstitutional chaos and empowers self-anointed enforcers to have devastating impacts.

Biden’s support for abortion rights despite being a devout Catholic has recently prompted U.S. Catholic Bishops to publicly rebuke him on the issue and question why he continues to receive Communion.

“The president doesn’t believe what we believe about the sacredness of human life, or he wouldn’t be taking the actions that he is.” Chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, Archbishop Joseph Naumann stated, calling Biden’s position on abortion a “grave moral evil.”

Reactions to Biden Contradicting Himself, says 'life begins at birth' to Support Abortion

Truth.

I am not Catholic. I believe life starts at conception. God doesn’t make mistakes.

I'd even venture to say that if u support abortion, you were never truly a Catholic to begin w. No exceptions.
