The "Are You the One?" star has been charged with four offenses, including rape and sexual battery.
Connor Smith, who previously starred on MTV’s “Are You the One?” was arrested in Indiana for raping and viciously abusing a 16-year-old female.
The alleged event occurred in Lake County, Indiana, according to authorities. Smith was arrested in Cook County, Illinois, on Friday after an arrest warrant was filed by Indiana officials. He was charged with rape, sexual battery, and two counts of criminal confinement.
The unidentified adolescent told cops she was kidnapped out of her room in July after visiting family in Indiana, according to the documents obtained by TMZ. She originally claimed to have swapped Snapchat information with someone selling a cat and provided them the location of the place she was living in.
That evening, the alleged victim told police that a guy broke open her bedroom window screen, grabbed her out of the room, pushed her into his truck, and sexually assaulted her while driving to a motel. Later interviews revealed that she had purposefully slipped out to meet the accused attacker after communicating with him on a dating app.
In any case, she claims she “immediately had a bad feeling” when she met him in the truck, and he allegedly forced her to perform oral sex while driving to the motel, “slapping and choking her several times, peeing on her in the motel room, and forcing oral sex again.”
After he was done, the teen alleges he drove her back to her house and told her he’d return the following day. Cops also claim that her family was out front searching for her, and as soon as they saw the vehicle, they immediately began chasing it down.
As per the source, Smith was apprehended because his car matched the description provided by eyewitnesses. The former MTV personality was booked into Cook County Jail on December 17 and is still being held without bail.
Connor Smith appeared in the third season of “Are You the One?” in 2015, when a group of single contestants sought to find their ideal partner on the show where single people battled to find their perfect match.
