Vin Diesel Announces Brie Larson’s Participation In “Fast & Furious 10”

The news comes after she just finished filming "The Marvels," the sequel to "Captain Marvel.”

Vin Diesel announced Brie Larson’s inclusion in “Fast & Furious 10” on Instagram on Sunday, with a photo of the two beaming broadly for the camera.

Diesel began his post by saying, “You see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to yourself, ‘That’s Captain Marvel.’ Clearly, there is love and laughter in this image.”

“What you don’t see, however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology.”

“Beyond her beauty, her intellect, her Oscar is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the family, Brie,” he concluded his post.

Larson, for her part, confirmed her casting in a Sunday morning Instagram post as well, saying, “Excited doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about joining the Fast family. Thank you for welcoming me in with so much kindness and excitement.”

The tenth installment of “Fast & Furious” will be released in 2023. Jason Momoa, the star of “Aquaman,” has also been confirmed to be in the film as the villain of the story.

“It’s fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven’t gotten to do for a while,” Momoa told Entertainment Tonight. “Now, I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy. A little panache!”

After directing “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,” “Fast & Furious,” “Fast Five,” “Fast & Furious 6,” and last year’s “F9,” Justin Lin will also return to direct “Fast & Furious 10,” as reported by Variety.

The “Fast and Furious” franchise is set to wrap up with the 11th film in 2020, according to reports.
