Westmoreland must assist with DNA collection and register as a sex offender as part of the plea agreement, according to Utah district court records obtained by E! News.
Westmoreland was first arrested in 2018 by the Salt Lake City Police Department and FBI Child Exploitation Task Force after attempting to meet an undercover cop acting like a 13-year-old teen on the app “Grindr,” and was later charged with six criminal offenses.
As per Utah officials, he attempted to meet the teen for sexual intercourse by booking the victim a car to the Little America Hotel via a ride-sharing app. A hotel room was searched, and two novelty sex toys were discovered.
In the midst of these scandalous events, the actor appeared in the popular sitcom Andi Mack, where he played grandpa Henry “Ham” Mack. Following his arrest, Disney fired him.
“Given the nature of the charges and our responsibility for the welfare of employed minors, we have released him from his recurring role, and he will not be returning to work on the series.”
