Just a few months after a paternity test revealed Tristan Thompson is the biological father of Maralee Nichols’ baby, Khloé Kardashian and the basketball player are expecting their second child via surrogacy.
Additionally, it signifies that the now-former couple decided to have the child before their messy split, and that their second bundle of joy will be born anytime soon. The two are already parents to their daughter True.
In a statement to Page Six, a representative for Khloé confirmed the news, saying, “We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November. Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family.”
Despite this news, the two have not spoken to one another about anything other than co-parenting concerns. A different source acquired by the publication also stated that “Khloé and Tristan already had the baby in the works when the scandal hit. By then, Khloé was just like, ‘I’m going to be doing it by myself.’”
This will be Thompson’s fourth kid and the reality star’s second child. In addition to his son he had with Maralee and his daughter True with Khloé, he is also the father to Prince, with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.
As we have previously reported, Thompson apologized to Khloé directly after sharing on his Instagram Story back in January that paternity tests had proven he had fathered a child with Maralee.
“You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years,” he stated at that time. “My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.”
“I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
