More over a year has passed since they started dating.
Anya Taylor-Joy is now reportedly married, having chosen to exchange vows in a private ceremony held in a courtroom somewhere in the United States with her lover Malcolm Mcrae, with whom she had been seeing for over a year.
This comes after photos of the two enjoying themselves in Sydney were taken with the “Queen’s Gambit” actress wearing her enormous green diamond engagement ring.
Nevertheless, it remained unknown when and where exactly the wedding took place. However, rumors of their engagement began to circulate in June after a passerby for The Daily Mail reported that she was displaying a ring to her driver.
“She bounded off the plane and then seemed to flash the ring at her driver before getting in the car. She was either showing off the ring or doing a dance move. Either way, she looked ecstatic,” the source shared.
Beginning their relationship in early 2021, Taylor-Joy and Mcrae made their red carpet debut in February at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. In an interview with British Vogue, the “Peaky Blinders” actress went into more depth about her relationship with her now-husband.
“I said to my partner the other day that he was my hobby. I see reading as something that I have to do,” she said. “He loved it because he’s the same. I’ve finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading. We’re basically 80 years old and seven at the same time and it works really well.”
She acknowledged the difficulty of their long-distance relationship while also claiming that it had some positive aspects, saying, “When you’re together you’re really valuing the time that you have.”
“Everyday mundane activities are so full of joy. I love going to the petrol station with him and filling up the car and going to get breakfast.”
