Along with this information, it’s even interesting to learn that some of the shots were allegedly taken with just his wife Kate Capshaw’s hands and a phone. The song “Cannibal” from Marcus Mumford’s impending debut solo album, Mumford & Sons, is the subject of the music video.

In a behind-the-scenes image posted by Mumford to Twitter, Spielberg can be seen recording video of the Mumford & Sons singer using his phone. In one of the pictures, Spielberg’s wife of 30 years, Capshaw, is also shown supporting her husband’s chair, acting as “the almighty dolly grip.”

“On Sunday 3rd July in a high school gym in New York, Steven Spielberg directed his first music video, in one shot, on his phone. Kate Capshaw was the almighty dolly grip,” the tweet reads.

Mumford also used this opportunity to express the deepest appreciation to those who had supported his music, the director, and his wife, writing, “I’ve been overwhelmed by the support of the people around me to bring this music to you”

“I cannot hope to express all of my gratitude. When people get it, it blows my mind. Kate and Steven just got it, and I cannot thank them enough.”

“Thank you Kate. Thank you Kristie. Thank you Steven. Full cast/crew: “Cannibal” Directed by Steven Spielberg Producer, Art Director and Dolly Grip Kate Capshaw Producer/BTS videographer Kristie Macosko Krieger Costumer/Sound Carey Mulligan Performed by Some Chancer Mug,” he concluded the thread.

According to PEOPLE, Spielberg’s music video breakthrough occurred while he works on The Fabelmans, his next movie that is mainly based on his youth in Arizona.

This is wonderful. The guy just can't stop shooting in any way and any form. The other day I was talking about Roger Corman's enthusiasm and positivism at 96. Steven Spielberg will be shooting until the very last day. And we all should be so so so thankful for that.
