Kevin Smith Weight loss

His weight loss success is a result of his healthy eating and exercise habits. Director Kevin Smith stopped eating all unhealthy foods when he somehow escaped death from a heart attack. He also mentioned that he continued eating only potatoes after a heart attack, which allowed him to drop 17 pounds in nine days. However, medical professionals such as nutritionists and doctors do not recommend the potato-only diet.

Long before, Kevin used to love processed foods and dairy products, but now these are the types of foods he avoids completely. In an interview with Men’s Health, he said, “I was so addicted to milk. I know it’s embarrassing, but I used to drink like two gallons of milk every day. And probably this was the reason for my heart attack.”

In an effort to lower his cholesterol, Kevin Smith experimented with becoming a vegan. On the other note, his daughter also wished to become a vegan for ethical purposes. After Harley Quinn, his 20-year-old daughter, insisted he becomes vegan, and he has since lost almost another 6 pounds. He usually fasts until noon, at which point he gets his favorite fast food restaurant’s vegan nachos.

In a 2019 WIRED Autocomplete interview, Kevin said, “My kid encouraged me to go vegan…she was like, ‘I’ve gotta flip him,’ and she did. And I became vegan.” The actor-director initially acknowledged that it was difficult to become a vegan because: “I hate vegetables…hate ’em with a passion.”

And he continued, “Very hard to be a vegan when you hate vegetables and stuff.” He made the decision to integrate intermittent fasting into his regular basis as opposed to pushing himself to overindulge in foods he doesn’t like.

In starting off his day, either a glass of iced tea or a smoothie kicks off the director-actor-comedian’s regular morning ritual, along with his one-hour walk with his pet dog. Kevin continues by stating that he skips breakfast and that this keeps his energy levels high. He was initially instructed to consume nothing but potatoes for two weeks. Even though his situation proved challenging, Kevin persisted. The versatile artist typically consumes one meal per day at around 3 p.m.

Nevertheless, he prefers to eat chickpeas as a treat on days when he is not particularly hungry, which is the majority of the time. Additionally, Kevin now consumes more than just potatoes; he also includes salad and vegetable juice in his diet.

What is Kevin Smith's workout routine?

Besides maintaining his regular food diet, director Kevin also includes a workout routine to shed more weight. In his daily routine, Kevin Smith walks Shecky, a small dachshund who serves as his canine personal trainer, for an hour to the top of Los Angeles’ Runyon Canyon.

Actor Kevin claimed that losing weight had changed his life and that he feels much better about himself after achieving his objective of losing 50 pounds in the span of six months and losing another eight pounds since then. He’s still determined to keep up his new way of life.
