Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon White sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Canola oil
  • 3/4 pound Flank steak cut thinly against the grain
  • 1 pound of Green beans trimmed
  • 2 teaspoons Minced ginger
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the soy sauce, mirin, cornstarch, and sugar in a small bowl or measuring cup.
  2. Add the canola oil to your skillet on medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the beef in batches in the skillet for 1-2 minutes on each side before removing it from the pan.
  4. Add the green beans and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds while stirring.
  6. Add the stir fry sauce into the skillet and cook for 30 seconds, then add the beef back in and toss to coat.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
