Ever since she began her weight loss journey and made it public, she has been defending herself against such speculations.
Kyle Richards, a cast member of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” recently called out Melissa Gorga, a cast member of “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” for assuming that the former was using medication to help in her weight loss.
On Sunday, Richards shared a picture of herself wearing a sparkling pink outfit and looking trim. However, based on the comments left on the post, it appears that many people concur with Gorga’s claim from last month that Richards was using Ozenpic in order to achieve her new figure.
One IG user wrote, “Ozempic body. 100%. You look beautiful but just tell the truth. Your fellow housewives have told on you. It’s not a big deal but it is when you lie about it.” A second user also commented the same thing, saying, “Ozempic sure works on these people.”
This immediately caught the “RHOBH” star’s attention, as she responded to the assumptions by setting the records straight and even mentioning the “RHONJ” star.
“This is not true,” the actress wrote. “MY fellow Housewives never said such a thing. Another Housewife from a different franchise aka Melissa stated she assumed I was but then texted an apology to me.”
According to the Juniper website, Ozempic is a “simple, weekly injection that contains the weight loss drug semaglutide, which can help you lose weight. It’s a pharmaceutical drug initially developed to help people with diabetes control and lower blood sugar levels.”
Not only that, but clinical studies carried out ahead even have demonstrated that Ozempic is also a safe and reliable medication for obese people to help with losing weight. It’s actually the best weight-loss prescription now offered to individuals with obesity in the UK.
If you recall, during an interview on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” last month, Gorga commented on Richard’s weight loss transformation by assuming that she’s taking Ozempic in order to lose weight. “I’m not gonna lie, when I first saw her, I was like, ‘Ooh, she’s taking that stuff,’” she remarked at that time.
Her comment made their friendship turn sour since the two have been really close after starring on Season 1 of the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.” But, she subsequently emphasized that she changed her mind when Richards openly denied using Ozempic amid speculations.
Many people find weight loss to be a sensitive matter. It can be challenging to know how to approach the subject, particularly when a friend is experiencing it.
With that, Richards obviously disagrees with Gorga’s assumption, as is evident. She has been putting a lot of effort into losing weight, and she is not going to tolerate assumptions being made about her journey.
