Ingredients

  • 4 Pork chops
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 3 tablespoon Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic – minced
  • ½ cup Chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
  • ½ cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice 
  • 450g Asparagus – chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and onion powder.
  2. In a skillet over high heat, melt your butter. When the butter is melted, and the pan is hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for a few seconds or until the garlic is fragrant. Add the pork chops and sear them for a few minutes on both sides.
  3. Pour the broth, lemon juice, and cream over the pork chops. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a medium setting.
  4. Put the asparagus in the pan. Allow the dish to simmer for 7-10 minutes or until the sauce thickens. If your pork chops finish cooking before your sauce thickens, remove them and set them aside while it thickens.
