Now, Selena Gomez is pleading with her fans to stop making death threats to Hailey Bieber after the model contacted the singer about online harassment due to their ongoing spat.
Selena took to her Instagram Story on March 24 to address recent rumors regarding her and Hailey Bieber’s conflict. She wrote: “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and informed me that she has been receiving death threats and other forms of hatred.
“This is not what I stand for. No one should be subjected to hatred or bullying. I have always campaigned for compassion and want this to end immediately.”
Since February, rumors of a rivalry between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez began to circulate, and Hailey has been inundated with abusive messages on the Internet. When the model posted a since-deleted TikTok that appeared to shade Gomez, accusations began to fly.
The following month, Hailey and her friend Kylie Jenner were accused of cyberbullying Gomez’s eyebrows on Instagram. Internet trolls claimed Bieber was attempting to steal Gomez’s life, which is absurd but not untrue.

She also addressed the avalanche of unjustified hate she received from Gomez’s supporters throughout the entire incident.
“I’m going about my business. I don’t do anything, and I don’t say anything. Please leave me alone,” Hailey pleaded, alleging that she and Gomez had reconciled. When the ladies stood for a portrait at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ second annual gala the following month, it was a sign of peace.
Although fans had pitted Selena and Hailey against one other for years, rumors of a rift between them appeared to rest when they posed for images together at an event in October 2022. During the same time, Hailey also discussed their past on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, emphasizing no tension between them. She said she’d spoken to Selena since marrying Justin Bieber, whom she dated intermittently from 2011 to 2018.
