A star always finds ways to shine, even in jail.

Jen Shah does not allow her time in prison to prevent her from being in the public eye. In February, the former “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” cast member turned herself into a Texas facility after pleading guilty to wire fraud charges.

Now that she has settled into her 6.5-year sentence, Shah is returning to her origins in reality television to keep herself occupied. The Bravo alum’s manager Chris Giovanni said that the SLC socialite is collaborating with her fellow inmates on a “Real Housewives”-inspired performance.

According to Giovanni, the reality star is in the early phases of scripting “The Real Housewives of Bryan,” which is named after the city in Texas where their prison camp is located. The parody is expected to feature exaggerated versions of Shah and her new friends, which extensively borrows from Bravo’s playbook.

Chris states that it is still in its infancy, as Jen teaches some employees how to read and write. Regardless, we’re told that the script revolves around the real-life housewives of FPC Bryan. Still, the characters’ personas are excited to watch it.

In addition to her directorial debut, Jen has cultivated solid friendships, mentoring and encouraging other women during their sentences. Chris reports that she has been working in the prison’s educational department and library for nearly two months.

She has reportedly lost about 15 pounds and has been working out daily while consuming very little. Shockingly, she does not enjoy the cuisine very much. Chris adds that Jen has not abandoned her faith. During Ramadan, Jen and approximately five other women in her unit observe daily fasting and prayer.

After pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, Jen surrendered to FPC Bryan in February to begin serving her 6.5-year sentence, which has reportedly been reduced by one year, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate database.

On January 6, 2023, Jen Shah departed federal court in Manhattan after receiving a 6.5-year sentence for conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Since her surrender to authorities two months ago, Shah’s manager claims she has been swamped.

In addition to writing a drama, Shah has been working in the prison’s library and education department. According to Giovanni, Shah is also on a fitness spree, revealing that she has lost “15 pounds” and has been exercising daily.

However, she has reportedly been refusing prison meals, indicating that she is not a huge fan of prison food. During Ramadan, Shah has been concentrating on her spiritual life. Since the sacred month began in March, she and five other Muslim women in her unit have been fasting and praying together.
