‘Listen to what’ an expert says.

Khalid is not a fan of artificial intelligence (AI) invading the music industry. While he believes technology could be a helpful instrument, it draws the line at imitating artists.

Khalid

The R&B hitmaker gave us his two cents on AI and the future of his industry, particularly now that new AI-generated songs appear almost daily on the Internet.

Khalid believes that AI programming, in general, is inevitable. Still, he made it clear that he is not necessarily on board. On the one hand, he recognizes that AI software can be a helpful instrument.

Still, he is more concerned that it could eliminate the need for human performers such as himself! As you are aware, Drake has had direct experience with this.

You may recall that some computer-generated Drizzy songs went viral and sounded precisely like Champagne Papi in real life. And this occurred shortly after an AI song featuring Drake and The Weeknd became an internet phenomenon until Universal Music Group removed it from music streaming services.

Drake’s label and other prominent artists have made it plain that they’re not Drake’sr the music devoid of humanity, and Khalid concurs. He asserts that he appreciates music as it is and that AI robs artists of their authenticity.

In other terms, it loses its entire essence! It is difficult to disagree with this, but it is also challenging to halt the advancement of technology. “Artificial intelligence” is an irritating buzzword in technology but is also “an unavoidable component” of the imminent technological revolution.

Under the guise of progress, those most enthusiastic about instituting AI are annoying human gnats eager to drain the last remaining lifeblood from our crumbling civilization. They are unavoidable and irrepressible.

At this rate, it will be soon that our most commercially acclaimed painters, writers, and musicians are computers with varying degrees of dubious intelligence. Soon, AI will surpass the physical limitations of human creativity and be capable of producing the most commercially viable paintings, songs, novels, and films.

In the near future dystopia, Jay-Z will be proven incorrect. Auto-tune was only the beginning, and he was powerless against it. Everything in the future will be automated. The robots will be like DJ Khaled in effortlessly creating blockbusters.

At this stage, artificial intelligence is an additional instrument that helps translate human imagination into artistic mediums, such as a pen or paintbrush.

The distinction is that AI models eliminate entry barriers such as creative instruction, practice, and knowledge. A producer adept in Ableton uses a computer to create beats they cannot replicate with analog instruments.

An “artist” using a music-generating tool such as AIVA only needs to type in a co “cept o” what they want. Well, well, are you in favor of AI in music or not?
