After weeks of being in the headlines for the affair that caused emotional distress to Ariana Madix and had fans of the “Vanderpump Rules” in rage, Raquel Leviss had the time to give an update about her relationship with Tom Sandoval amid chaos.
Raquel discussed her relationship with Sandoval in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. She didn’t go into great depth about what unfolded, but it seemed like she and Sandoval were still together and trying to work through the affair.
“Besides the indefensible circumstances surrounding our relationship, my feelings for Tom have always been sincere and born out of a loving friendship,” she said to the publication. “Knowing how many people we hurt, I need to understand my choices and learn to make better ones.”
“I need to take care of my health, work on self growth and take time to be ok with being alone,” the reality star added. “I care for Tom and I don’t want to label anything or predict what lies ahead. Right now I need to heal.”
This update on their relationship comes after she recently broke her silence about her affair with Sandoval and apologized to Ariana on Wednesday, posting a lengthy statement on both her Instagram page and story, writing, “I want to apologize for my actions and choices to Ariana, my friends and the fans so invested in our relationships.”
Raquel then made it clear at that time that she doesn’t hope for “sympathy, understanding, or forgiveness” in the closing paragraph of her statement. She also made it a point to emphasize that she is now focusing on her health and well-being while striving to improve herself in the future, adding that she will prioritize her mental health and internalize the lessons she’s learned from her failures.
In addition, Tom was also recently spotted arriving at Raquel’s apartment on Saturday evening, just days after his breakup with Ariana. And while the two controversial television personalities met early in the day for a shoot with Bravo, Tom’s visit to his other woman is “not for the cameras.”
As we previously reported, Tom and Raquel had been having an affair for several months before the infidelity scandal became public. And despite Tom’s long-term romance with Ariana, they apparently want to be together.
It was also reported that Ariana learned of the alleged infidelity on Wednesday last week in Los Angeles while she was at Tom’s performance with his band.
The situation between Raquel Leviss, Tom Sandoval, and Ariana Madix has been difficult for everyone involved. Considering the circumstances, Raquel seemed to be doing okay overall.
Although it is evident that she has found the situation to be challenging, she is still supporting Sandoval and attempting to resolve their relationship’s problems by making an effort to keep a cheerful attitude despite the chaos.
