Raquel Leviss first appeared as a recurring guest star in season five of Vanderpump Rules. She joined the show after going into a steady relationship with DJ James Kennedy. Restaurant owner Lisa Vanderpump offered her a server job in SUR Restaurant & Lounge which led to her being one of the primary cast members of the Bravo-produced show.
Leviss faced many challenges as a SURver, including being harassed by Kennedy’s ex-girlfriend and fellow SURver Kristen Doute. As a confessed people pleaser, she struggled with SUR’s judgmental and aggressive environment. Raquel was involved in one of the show’s most iconic arguments with co-star Lala Kent after commenting on Kent’s late father. The fight ended with Lala calling Raquel a “Bambi ass bitch”.
Much of Leviss’ storyline on the show revolved around her relationship with James Kennedy. She stood by James during his struggle with alcoholism and anger issues.
