Over the previous few months, a number of women have come forward to accuse him of sexual assault.
Tremaine Aldon Neverson,, best known as Trey Songz, is facing another sexual assault accusation, this time from Megan Johnson, whom he met at a Foxwoods Resort Casino event in Mashantucket, Connecticut back in August 2013.
The singer can be seen exposing the victim’s breast in front of a crowd and chanting about it many times in a video obtained by TMZ. Her legal team claims the incident humiliated her and that she is seeking damages for mental suffering and self-harm.
On behalf of their client Johnson, attorneys George Vrabeck and Ariel Mitchell issued Songz and his team a demand letter acquired by Complex on Thursday that reads, “I am sure this letter does not come as a surprise to you.”
“One woman may have been mistaken, but it is unlikely that the 12+ women that have made complaints about you, including our four clients, were also mistaken. Ms. Johnson is certainly not mistaken. Perhaps the enclosed video will refresh your recollection and illustrate the certainty of your negligent and reckless behavior.”
As we previously reported, the artist had been investigated for sexual assault in Las Vegas just last year and was subsequently dismissed, which prompted Johnson to come forward, according to her attorneys, and will only withdraw the charge if he pays her $5 million.
This isn’t the first time Songz has been accused of doing so. Aside from the incident last year, the singer was arrested and charged with felony assault of a police officer and misdemeanor aggravated assault for assaulting a photographer in 2016.
