Jason Alexander appeared in court virtually on Monday and has pleaded not guilty to a restraining order granted by Britney Spears and Sam Asghari.

As we previously reported, Alexander went live on Instagram ahead of the couple’s wedding, where he was seen conversing with the event security and informing them that Spears had invited him to their big day.

After several protests, he threatened to sabotage the ceremony, resulting to a violent struggle until his phone shut out. Furthermore, he was discovered carrying a knife.

Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, who successfully won her conservatorship battle against her father, Jamie Spears, disclosed to PEOPLE that the restraining order against Alexander had been “granted,” and that he had also been charged with “felony stalking and is incarcerated.”

“I extend my thanks to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office for their good work and professionalism, and for the seriousness with which they are taking the matter,” Rosengart stated.

According to his arrest document with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office acquired by the publication, he is additionally charged with misdemeanor charges of trespassing and refusing to leave private property, vandalism, and violence.
