Servings: 30 servings

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Total time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground turkey
  • 1 Egg
  • ¾ cup Parmesan cheese – grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic – minced
  • ½ tsp Italian seasonings
  • ½ tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 ½ cup Rao marina sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the ground turkey in a large mixing bowl and sprinkle with parmesan cheese on top.
  2. With a large spoon, gently break the meat apart.
  3. Mix the egg with the tomato paste and spices. Pour the mixture over the ground turkey.
  4. Mix the ingredients together gently with your hands, taking care not to compact the meat too much, as this would make it tough and chewy.
  5. Keep a water bowl nearby to wet your hands while you roll the meatballs. I like to use a cookie scoop to ensure they are all the same size and help form the meatballs.
  6. In a large skillet, heat the oil. Fry the meatballs until all sides are brown.
  7. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and cover the skillet with a lid. Cook for 10 minutes or until cooked through.

How to Store the Keto Turkey Meatballs

Freeze meatballs in a single layer on a baking sheet (avoid touching them, or they will stick together when frozen) until solid. Freeze the meatballs for 1-2 months in a freezer bag or freezer-safe container, labeled with the type of meatball and the date.
