Teresa explains why she did not want Melissa's family to attend her wedding.
Some “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast members attended Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas’ wedding. However, the bride’s brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga were not in attendance. It appears that Teresa continues to hold grudges.
“OK, I guess I’ll be honest. What happened 10 years ago is I got busy, and I guess they got jealous,” Giudice stated in a confessional on Tuesday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
“I found out a few days before my wedding that they weren’t coming. I’m totally fine with it,” she said. “You’ll see it play out on TV … The way that everything played out with my wedding; everything that happened is the way it was supposed to be. I’m all about that. I’m all about good energy, and whoever wanted to be at my wedding was there.”
Teresa also highlighted why they skipped the wedding, adding, “You’ll see it the way it plays out on TV, so I can’t really say much on that.”
“Melissa’s mother and sisters were writing stuff about me on social media, and I know my mother would never write about anybody on social media, so I always just kept my distance after that,” Giudice revealed in her confessional, ending her confession with an ominous note, saying, “I’ll forgive, but I never forget.”
According to an insider, the Gorgas skipped the ceremony due to Teresa’s involvement in the controversy and Luis’ actions, stating, “Teresa betrayed them in a way that’s unforgivable. They’re not going to celebrate Teresa’s new marriage when all she does is try to tear apart theirs.”
According to the same source, the former “RHONJ” star’s estranged cousins, Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri, were also absent. “It’s telling that Teresa didn’t have one relative at her wedding. But that’s the choice Teresa made.”
Kim Marco Pirrella, the other sister of Gorga, had written in 2011 that she admired Teresa “before all the craziness n diva n lies.” Donna Marco, Gorga’s mother, likewise tweeted in June 2012: “Here’s how you know Teresa is lying; she’s faking.” Marco also wrote in an Instagram comment that she was “upset with Teresa and the girls for the hurt Joe [Gorga] is going through.”
The two families’ connection has not yet been repaired. The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs on Bravo on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
