On Friday, Angelina Jolie had lunch with wealthy heir David Mayer de Rothschild in Malibu, California, and talked for three hours. A lengthy lunch meeting between the actress and the heir to a claimed $1 trillion fortune has been spotted. When you’re having fun, time seems to fly by.
The “Maleficent” star was seen smiling as she exited celebrity hotspot Nobu, accompanied by the British environmentalist. Mayer de Rothschild, who is a member of the wealthiest family in the world, seemed to be in a good mood as he smiled and laughed along with Angelina.
Jolie flaunted her trim waist in a stylish black dress with cutouts accentuating her curves. She completed the ensemble with a pair of black heels and sunglasses that matched perfectly.
At the same time, the 44-year-old businessman stood 6 feet 4 inches tall and wore apparel that could be described as smart casual. It looked like he was wearing a pair of dark blue slacks, a grey shirt, a blazer, black loafers, and some cool socks with striped patterns.
Since both parties are interested in political activism, the meeting could have been arranged for professional reasons. Afterward, both were noticed beaming at one another before entering their respective vehicles.
Mayer de Rothschild supports environmental protection and has served as an ambassador for the Hyundai IONIQ, the first automobile to be constructed from the ground up to be made available as a hybrid or an electric-powered vehicle.
According to the bio he maintains on Instagram, he also has the goal of “warning and informing people about global warming.” Meanwhile, Jolie served as a special envoy for the United Nations for twenty years, during which she dealt with refugees.
