All we can say is WOW!

Johnny Depp is one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors. Despite the defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor remains prominent in the entertainment industry. He has made a great deal of money from small jobs.

Despite only appearing for a few minutes in “Alice in Wonderland,” Johnny Depp earned $50 million. Disney released a live-action reimagining of the animated classic “Alice in Wonderland” in 2010.

Tim Burton directed the film, which stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, and Helena Bonham Carter. The film follows the eponymous character, played by Wasikowska. In Wonderland, she meets Tarrant Hightopp, portrayed by Depp, who aids her in restoring the White Queen to her throne to end the Red Queen’s reign of violence.

On the journey to the Red Queen’s court, Tarrant allows himself to be captured by the Red Queen’s guards, allowing Alice to complete her mission. He then manages to avoid execution by making hats for the monarch.

Depp earned 50 million pounds, or approximately $68 million, as the Mad Hatter in the 2010 “Alice in Wonderland.” The fantasy film directed by Tim Burton was a box office success, grossing $334,2 million in North America and becoming the sixth film to surpass $1 billion worldwide.

“Alice Through the Looking Glass,” released in 2016 amid Depp and Heard’s divorce, was significantly less successful, grossing $300 million on a $170 million budget which is $700 million less than the original. Depp’s acting career has experienced both peaks and valleys.

The “Sweeney Todd” star had a great start in his career, eventually racking up a net worth of $650 million. Decades upon decades, the actor’s career has progressed upward. However, his lavish lifestyle and reports of his management group misusing funds were said to have saved him millions of dollars.

Depp’s personal life and myriad legal issues, including unpaid taxes, cost him over $100 million. Of course, the greatest pitfall in his career came following his relationship with Heard. Depp went to court after she published an opinion piece alleging sexual assault and domestic violence.

He lost multiple opportunities in Hollywood, including a multimillion-dollar contract with Disney. After prevailing in the defamation litigation against Heard, Depp’s career appears to be on the upswing.

In the early 1980s, Depp debuted in films such as “Platoon” and “Nightmare on Elm Street.” Still, his rise to fame began when he landed a role on the network television series “21 Jump Street.”

In 2015, he shared that he was broke when he auditioned for the role of Tom Hanson and didn’t want to do a television series. In addition, the actor said he had one of the worst cases of flu he had ever experienced during his last-minute audition for the role that would become his breakthrough performance.

Nonetheless, he went there, signed some paperwork, and took the screen test before boarding a flight to Vancouver the following day.
