This has generated quite a commotion since many believe that he deserves to be remembered, given how recently he passed away.

As the world mourns the loss of great artists, one name was conspicuously absent from the “In Memoriam” segment of this year’s Grammy Awards: Aaron Carter. Many fans are furious that the 34-year-old musician, who passed away only last year, was left out of the segment which honors musicians who had passed away.

Some of the musicians that the Grammy honored in their “In Memoriam” segment were Loretta Lynn, David Crosby, Stephen “Twitch” BossNaomi Judd, Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac, Bobby Rydell, David Crosby, Lisa Marie Presley, Olivia Newton-John, Takeoff, and many more.

Moreover, Kacey Musgraves, Quavo, Sheryl Crow, Mick Fleetwood, and Bonnie Raitt all sang heartfelt tributes to these late celebrities while their faces were also being displayed on the screens.

However, viewers of the event, particularly the singer’s fans, rapidly became aware of Aaron’s exclusion from the “In Memoriam” segment of the program and promptly rushed to social media to voice their fury and disappointment.

As we previously reported, Carter passed away last year at the age of 34 after his body was discovered in the bathtub of his Lancaster, California, home. Many feel that he deserved to be included in the annual tribute to musicians who have died.

Singer Aaron Carter

Carter was a famous child star who many people adored even when he stepped away from the public eye in recent years. Fans were shocked to learn of his passing, and many turned to social media to express their sorrow. So it was understandable that supporters were unhappy when he was left out of the “In Memoriam” part.

One Twitter user wrote“Genuinely don’t understand why Aaron Carter was left out of the in memoriam.. he completely changed the teen pop music game, broke so many records, and truly paved the way for so many young pop stars that followed him. #GRAMMYs.”

Another user also shared the same sentiment, writing, “The #GRAMMYs not honoring @aaroncarter is an absolute joke!!!” A third user likewise expressed disappointment, remarking, “grammys. why not include aaron carter in memoriam? you don’t wanna be associated with drugs or addiction? that is so disrespectful and inhumane. dont say, oh you didn’t have time to include him, bc he passed in november and jeff beck died last month… hmmmm we love you aaron ❤️.”

Aside from such reactions, numerous theories have also been put up as to why Carter was left out, with some contending that it was because he had not recently seen the same degree of success. This, however, does not clarify why other, less popular musicians were added. Others have asserted that Carter’s omission was the result of the Grammys not wanting to recognize him in the context of his problematic personal life.

Fans are not the only ones who expressed their disappointment with what the Grammys did to Aaron but also his fiancée Melanie Martin, with whom he has an 11-month-old son named Prince.

Aaron’s exclusion, according to Melanie, is a “slap in the face to his legacy and his son.” She made this assertion in a statement obtained by TMZ. She also believes that the program must make it up to Aaron, whether through a tribute during the following year’s ceremony or by another means.

As a matter of fact, it was not only the “Aaron’s Party” singer who was excluded in the said segment, but they also left out Tom Parker and Taylor Hawkins. Hawkins was the Foo Fighters, Alanis Morissette’s, and his band’s drummer, who died at 50.

Still, Aaron’s exclusion from the “In Memoriam” section sparked intense controversy on social media, with many users noting that despite the singer’s inability to win and never having been nominated for a Grammy, he nevertheless made a significant contribution to Pop Music.

Carter was much more than simply a pop sensation in the eyes of many of his supporters. They grew up idolizing him and watching him perform on television. His absence from the “In Memoriam” segment served as another example of how the music industry can be dismissive of artists who are not viewed as mainstream.

Despite being passed over by the Grammys, Aaron Carter will always be remembered by his supporters as a gifted musician and kind individual. And even though he didn’t get any Grammys during his lifetime, people who adored his music will always have a particular place in their hearts for him.
