The drama surrounding this messy divorce will undoubtedly be included in the forthcoming “RHOA” season.
After almost nine years of marriage, Drew Sidora of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star filed for divorce from Ralph Pittman on Wednesday, claiming serious accusations as the basis for her decision.
In court documents obtained by multiple news outlets, Drew claimed that Ralph cheated on her numerous times, even branding his soon-to-be ex-husband a “serial cheater” and someone who “mentally abused” her.
The reality star even went so far as to file an amended complaint, alleging that she could no longer bear his “continued blatant disrespect and mental abuse.” Then she went on to say that a few of the women Ralph is alleged to have slept with would provide her copies of their “sexts.”
Not only that but there’s also a physical altercation involved during one time when they fought, leading to her being knocked to the ground after Ralph turned aggressive and grabbed her phone from her hands. She also added that he would meddle with her financially and had lately used a massive withdrawal from her account as “leverage.”
As a matter of fact, it wasn’t only the television personality who filed for divorce; Ralph likewise jumped on board on the same day but only an hour apart. They both cited that their marriage is “irretrievably broken” and input different separation dates. Meanwhile, Ralph also added that there’s “no reasonable hope of reconciliation.”
Even more, the businessman asked for “final decision-making authority” over their kids’ education and medical care in his divorce filing, along with shared physical and legal custody of their kids. He correspondingly argued against paying his now ex-wife’s alimony or spousal support, pointing to her successful profession in show business as justification.
Their divorce comes after they had previously tried to mend their broken relationship through marriage counseling. The now-ex-couple tied the knot in 2014 and shares two children: son Machai and daughter Aniya. From a previous marriage, Drew also has a son named Josiah.
It is unclear how this divorce will turn out, but it is certain that there is a great deal of resentment and hurt on both sides. The outcome of the child custody dispute and how the couple’s three kids are affected by the divorce will be intriguing to watch.
