Singers Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik were spotted on what appeared to be a romantic date night in New York City, sparking relationship suspicions. This started when Klarissa Garcia said in a video that has now gone viral on TikTok that a waitress at a celebrity-favorite Manhattan eatery saw Gomez and Malik locking lips while dining together on Thursday night.
“Only the hostess noticed them,” Garcia noted that the restaurant is in Soho, which was pretty public, yet nobody in New York cared about celebrities. At both 30 years old, Gomez and Malik did not appear concerned with maintaining a low profile during their purported jaunt.
According to reports, the couple was kissing at their table, which was located in the center of the bustling restaurant. As per Garcia, the couple allegedly enjoyed a PDA-filled dinner date during peak dining hours which lasted for around two hours before leaving.
Garcia’s TikTok had a snapshot of her discussion with her hostess pal, who claimed in text messages: “Tell me how Selena Gomez and Zayne just walked into a restaurant holding hands and making out, and I seated them.
The hostess said, “Everyone here is feeling sorry for Selena but here she is, accompanied by Gigi Hadid’s BABY ZADDDYYY. When eagle-eyed spies spotted that Malik had recently become one of Gomez’s 403 million Instagram followers, romance rumors began circulating because he follows only 18 individuals on his account.
Malik has a 2-year-old daughter named Khai with his ex-girlfriend Gigi, who dumped him in October 2021 after he was accused of assaulting her mother, Yolanda Hadid, and the singer angrily disputed the allegations.
Gigi has remained relatively silent about the event. However, her representative stated, “Gigi is focused on what is best for Khai. She requests privacy at this time.” Despite their breakup, the 27-year-old model and Malik, who had Khai in September 2020 after five years of on-and-off dating, have co-parented.
Gomez was recently believed to be dating The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart after they were photographed on a date in January in Brooklyn. However, as rumors of a relationship between her and the DJ persisted, Gomez turned to Instagram to confirm her single status.
Gomez dated The Weeknd for ten months in 2017 and has been romantically linked to several celebrities, including Charlie Puth, Samuel Krost, Niall Horan, Zedd, and Orlando Bloom.
Gomez has previously dated a multitude of prominent men. She was in an intermittent relationship with Justin Bieber for eight years before their breakup in 2018. The singer proposed to his now-wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber, months later. Since then, allegations of a dispute between Selena and Hailey have gotten so out of hand that Gomez had to ask her followers to stop making death threats to the Rhode Skin founder over the ongoing drama this week.
A possible relationship between Gomez and Malik is not entirely unexpected. The 2010 footage of Selena confessing that Malik would be her ideal One Direction member to kiss has resurfaced. Fortunately for Gomez, Malik shared her feelings now.
