It’s hard to climb to the top and be a star, but for this one celebrity, it seems harder to apologize.

Jane Fonda stated nearly two decades after the release of “Monster-in-Law” that Jennifer Lopez did not apologize for inadvertently cutting her during the slap sequence. Jane came on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on March 23 and reenacted her famous slap scene from the 2005 romantic comedy “Monster-in-Law.” Jennifer Lopez and the iconic actress co-star in the film, which features a sequence in which their characters participate in a slap fest.

However, Jane has recently disclosed that she has been physically injured. Well, according to Jennifer, she had this enormous diamond ring, so when she slapped me one time, it cut across my eye and eyebrow,” Jane recalled, adding, “You know, she’s never apologized.

After the “80 for Brady” star informed presenter Barrymore and her co-star, Lily Tomlin, of the news, Barrymore exclaimed in shock. She then proceeded to ask Lily a question regarding one of her previous jobs without requesting clarification from Jane. It is also uncertain whether Jane was serious or not about the incident, yet, numerous movie fans commented on the YouTube film.

One follower said, “I love how Drew gets right in the guests’ faces, and they look bewildered, haha,” while another said, “I love that Jane Fonda is still super close to JLo; she attended her Christmas party last year.”

A third admirer also pleaded with the pop culture giant to send Jane an apology. They commented, “Jlo, please apologize to Jane Fonda. I feel for her,” with a fourth fan adding, “This is EVERYTHING.”

One Jane and J.Lo supporter suspected that the Moving On actress was joking. “Jane was in a lively mood. She and Jennifer have a nice friendship. In addition, Jennifer narrated this story numerous times. In addition, she allegedly invited Jane to speak when she earned the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

The interview with Drew coincides with the March 17 release of Jane and Lily’s latest film, “Moving On.” The renowned duo who starred in seven seasons of “Grace and Frankie” on Netflix also starred in the movie “80 For Brady,” released on February 3. During their interview, the two women joked about how much they liked working together. “A couple of times we went to Del Taco and had… [inaudible], and I have a cup at home that says Lily,” she reminisced of her favorite moments filming the Netflix series with her lifelong pal.

In addition, Jane discussed her upcoming book, “What Can I Do? The Path from Climate Despair to Action,” which describes her advocacy and struggle against climate change in depth. According to a source, the star of “Book Club: The Next Chapter” was detained for the fifth time in 2019 during one of her numerous protest trips in recent years.
