“Señorita” made its magic happen again.
During the first night of Coachella, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello were captured on a public display of attention (PDA), specifically kissing, while witnessing a performance together. In the video, Cabello says something to Mendes, who is holding a drink, and in a separate clip, the ex-couple had plastic cups while celebrating with guests.
The two singers smiled at one another before locking lips in a passionate embrace as the audience looked on. If you recall, Cabello and Mendes began dating for the first time in July 2019 and ended their relationship in November 2021.
The couple, who separated in November 2021, conversed and shared drinks with acquaintances elsewhere during the evening. Cabello donned a pair of low-rise cargo jeans with a white crop top for the festival, while her erstwhile beau wore khaki pants and a white T-shirt.
Their mini-reunion occurred more than a year after they issued a joint statement proclaiming their breakup after more than two years of dating. “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship, but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” began the November 2021 Instagram post.
“We began as best friends and will continue as best friends. We are so grateful for your support from the start and in the future.” Fans were surprised by their breakup, as the couple had been spotted kissing in Miami earlier that month.
While they have not disclosed much about their relationship, Cabello opened up last year about how her priorities shifted and fluctuated during their time together. “We both began so young,” the former “Fifth Harmony” singer said in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in March last year. “We are learning how to be thriving adults. Throughout my existence, my priorities have fluctuated, and my focus has shifted.”
Mendes was associated with several women after their breakup, including his 51-year-old chiropractor, Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, with whom he had breakfast earlier this week. There was also conjecture that the Canadian pop star was dating “Girl Meets World” alum Sabrina Carpenter.
Still, he denied the rumors on the Dutch television program “RTL Boulevard,” stating that he was not dating the actress. Cabello dated Lox Club CEO Austin Kevitch following her separation from Mendes. They were seen together for the first time in June 2022, but their relationship ended eight months later.
